The Basics Of Auto Insurance Ontario
Comments OffCar insurance is probably one of the most important types of insurance you can own. This is because it will protect you if something goes wrong while you are on the road. If an accident happens because of your fault, it will protect you from possible claims. Here are some basic facts about auto insurance Ontario. Ontario requires some types of coverage. These mandatory types of coverage include third party liability, uninsured motorist coverage, direct compensation-property damage, and statutory accident benefits. A $200,000 minimum limit is required for third party liability although higher limits are recommended. A $200,000 minimum limit is also imposed for uninsured motorist coverage. If you desire full protection, you can add some types of optional coverage such as collision, comprehensive, specified perils and all perils coverage. The collision coverage will cover damages to your car regardless of who caused the accident. Meanwhile, the comprehensive coverage will pay for damages to your car if it was damaged by incidents other than collision.
