• Minutemen And Foreign Workers

It is true that many foreign workers came to this country illegally without any visas or passports. They simply crossed the border between Mexico and the United States. So a group of citizens in Arizona decided to take it upon themselves to protect their state from invaders. While their actions may be considered patriotic by some people, others may be repelled by what may be considered invasion on liberties in freedom. Unlike in other countries, being illegal does not mean a criminal offense, but rather an administrative offence, with the biggest punishment being just sent to your home country. So, the question is if the Minutemen are right in taking their rifles and pistols and threatening poor Mexican labors, so they would not cross the border. Who will pick up all the tomatoes in Arizona? Americans? But then the farmers would have to raise wages. These costs will in turn be passed to consumers, though we do not have a great appetite for such things.
